9 Months

December 4, 2009

I can’t believe Michael will be 9 months old tomorrow. He is growing up so fast. He had his 9 month checkup the other day, here are his stats:

Height: 29 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 18 lbs 15 oz (25th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (70th percentile)

He is still tall and thin. He has developed so much in the past month.

He loves to play with my phone, he has since we was really little. Recently he has learned how to slide it open. We decided to turn it off, then he couldn’t push any buttons. So I turned it off and gave it back to him. A little later I turned around to check on him and he had turned it back on. So I turned it off again, he turned it back on. Every time I turn it off he just turns it right back on. I can’t believe he knows how to do that already.

He can drink from a sippy cup all by himself.

I got a video of Michael turning his binki around.

He is getting better at getting up on his hands and knees.

I have to say, we have the cutes baby ever. Every time I go to the grocery store, or where ever, someone always comments on how cute he is. And he is such a good baby, he is happy most of the time! We love his so much and wouldn’t trade him for anything.

Christmas Tree

December 3, 2009

We went and cut down our Christmas Tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was so excited to get our first Christmas tree, and David was very excited to get a huge one since we have vaulted ceilings. We are so lucky to live in Oregon, where we get to cut down our own trees, they are full and beautiful, and don’t cost too much.

David and Stephanie cutting down the tree:

Michael is so cute!

We decorated the tree for Family Home Evening on Monday.

This picture shows just how big the tree is. David is 6′ 7” and the tree is taller then him.

Michael’s first time putting an ornament on the tree. He wanted to play with it more then put it on the tree.

The finished product!

Even though Michael can’t crawl, he can still get around. He scoots on his bum really well now, he made his way to the tree and started pulling all the pine needles off of it.

Thanksgiving

November 30, 2009

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. 15 people came over, luckily everyone brought something so I was only in charge of the turkey. It turned out really well. Everything was delicious. I am so thankful that I get to live so close to my family. My mom and I are have a very close relationship and I’m very thankful for that. She is the best mom in the world. My Dad is amazing as well! He is always helping us out and is so good with Michael, he is the best father and grandpa anyone could ask for. I am so lucky that most of my sisters live near by. We all get to see each other often. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and son. David does so much for me and is so caring. He is a great father to Michael, they love each other so much!

I forgot to take a picture of the turkey before they cut it, but here is one of them cutting it. This was David’s first time cutting a turkey, he was really nervious, but did a great job.

All of the the food. Yum Yum

Grandma and Grandpa Boggs. They are the best. Grandpa is going in for a pacemaker today, we are all keeping him in our prayers and hope everything goes well.

Jessica was able to come home from college to celebrate the holiday with us. I really enjoyed having her home, she brought a lot of joy to our house.

These are my three younger sister being themselves.

Playing games. My family is really big on playing games together, especially card games.

All tired out after the big meal.

Just and Update

November 23, 2009

Michael has learned how to turn his binki over with just using his tongue. We haven’t gotten in on video yet. We tried, but he just got mad at us.

I don’t think I ever posted Michael’s 8 month monkey picture. He is getting so big, and wasn’t very happy I made him lay on the floor.

We gave Michael some licks of our popsicle. At first he tried to bite it and didn’t like the cold feeling on his teeth. He has learned that it is better to lick/suck on it. He is a very fast learner! Anyway, whenever we are eating a popsicle he always wants some.

I gave Michael a bath in the bathtub for the first time. I forgot to take pictures during it, but this is one afterwards.

I think we have the cutest baby in the entire world. And a plus, he has really happy lately. I love it when he is happy, I can’t help but be happy aswell.

More Videos

November 23, 2009

I haven’t updated the blog in a little while, so I have a couple videos that need to be posted.

This first one is David feeding Michael lemon juice.

We decided to let Michael try a pospicle. He loves them. This video is his second time eatting one. By the way, the wetness on his shirt isn’t from the popsicle, he likes to spit everywhere and he was doing that before I fed him.

Falling asleep

November 4, 2009

I am very proud of myself. I have been quite productive this morning. I’ve done the dishes, started the laundry, cleaned the: kitchen, living room, and family room, and I’ve updated the blog. :) And it is still before noon. Michael has been so good this morning. I put him in his jumper and he just jumped away the entire time. When I was almost finished I went to checked on him and this is what I saw:

He is falling asleep. I couldn’t believe it when I saw him. When he gets tired he usually gets fussy, but he didn’t. He just sat there and decided to go to sleep. I love him!

Scooting again

November 4, 2009

Michael is getting so good and scooting backwards on his tummy. In the picture he started at the left side on his back, rolled to his tummy and scooted all the way to the table on the right. He gets frustrated when he is trying to get something in front of him; he tries to move toward it, but always goes backwards. He is so cute, and getting very mobile now.

Rolling Over

November 2, 2009

Michael has learned how to roll from his back to his stomach. Now whenever I put him on his back he rolls right over. And he has learned that he is more mobile on his stomach so he prefers that.

Last night we put Michael to bed, a little later he was crying. He had rolled from his back to his stomach and then twisted 180 degrees. In this picture he hasn’t quite rotated 180 degrees, but close. I love his face, he really wants me to pick him up, but I had to take a picture.

Rolling over in Bed

Michael was rolling all over the place so I tried to get it on video, but as usual once he sees the camera he stops. So this is the best I could get.

Halloween

November 2, 2009

I dressed up as a farmer and Micahael was my pumpkin for Halloween. David was going to be a farmer also, but he was sick, so he didn’t get to have any fun.

Halloween '09

We went to the trunk or treat at our ward, then to may parent’s house for some pizza. This picture is Karen’s kids and Michael.

Grandkids

Michael loves playing with the candy. I think so far Halloween is his favorite Holiday even though he can’t eat the candy.
