Michael loves it when we clap in front of him. He can also scream really loud. It hurts my ears!! He does this all the time. I will be at the grocery store and he will just start squealling, or in the middle of church yeah that is a lot of fun.

I was watching on of my sister’s foster kids, Yoshi. Michael loved having him over. Yoshi loved playing with Michael’s toys and Michael liked watching him play with them. Michael also liked watching him jump off the chair.

Michael go a new sweater from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. He looks so cute in it!! All of our primary kids agree that he is just the cutest thing!

My mom embroidered a shirt for Michael. It is so cute! It says, “I can quit anytime I want.”

We love this little boy and think he is just the best baby ever!

This post is mostly for my dad. He had all girls so he is very excited to have a grandson to do boy things with. He bought Michael some balls for Christmas, and now that he has learned to crawl he plays with them more. The second video is a little long, sorry.

P.S. Mom will you make sure Dad sees these videos?

Crawling January 4, 2010

Michael is crawling now. He started on January 1, 2010 and instantly was all over the place. This was one of his New Year’s resolutions, it didn’t take long for him to reach that goal.

In this video I put a couple of his favorite toys down but he wouldn’t crawl to them until I put my cell phone down for him. He loves that thing.

Christmas December 28, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — dsreed @ 12:18 pm

We had a wonderful Christmas here in Oregon. We were able to celebrate it with my family. We are so thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that He was willing to come to this Earth to save us all. It was a joy to celebrate His birth. We hope all of you had a wonderful Holiday as well!

This is our family picture; we took it ourselves so it isn’t the best. It took us forever to find one we liked, and then when we were looking through them we liked the second one we took the best. Isn’t that how it always works?

My wonderful Mom made our Christmas stockings, they turned out great!

Michael decided he wanted to visit his grandparents in Arizona, so he thought he would wrap himself in ribbon so he could be sent there. :)

We got Michael a “Baby’s Frist Christmas” ornament. It is a teddy bear.

Michael got to open one gift on Christmas Eve, it was pajamas. That is a tradition my family has. He had no idea what to do.

Michael recieved many gifts and we are thankful for everyone who gave him something. We took many pictures and I’m sure you don’t want to see them all. Towards the beginning of openning gifts, Michael opened one from David’s parents, they were books. After that he didn’t want to do anything else but play with the books. It was realy cute.

One of the things Michael got from my parents was a horse. He isn’t really sure what to do with it, but he likes to sit on the floor and play with him.

9 Months December 4, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — dsreed @ 10:13 am

I can’t believe Michael will be 9 months old tomorrow. He is growing up so fast. He had his 9 month checkup the other day, here are his stats:

Height: 29 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 18 lbs 15 oz (25th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (70th percentile)

He is still tall and thin. He has developed so much in the past month.

He loves to play with my phone, he has since we was really little. Recently he has learned how to slide it open. We decided to turn it off, then he couldn’t push any buttons. So I turned it off and gave it back to him. A little later I turned around to check on him and he had turned it back on. So I turned it off again, he turned it back on. Every time I turn it off he just turns it right back on. I can’t believe he knows how to do that already.

He can drink from a sippy cup all by himself.

I got a video of Michael turning his binki around.

He is getting better at getting up on his hands and knees.

I have to say, we have the cutes baby ever. Every time I go to the grocery store, or where ever, someone always comments on how cute he is. And he is such a good baby, he is happy most of the time! We love his so much and wouldn’t trade him for anything.

Christmas Tree December 3, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — dsreed @ 9:48 am

We went and cut down our Christmas Tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was so excited to get our first Christmas tree, and David was very excited to get a huge one since we have vaulted ceilings. We are so lucky to live in Oregon, where we get to cut down our own trees, they are full and beautiful, and don’t cost too much.

David and Stephanie cutting down the tree:

Michael is so cute!

We decorated the tree for Family Home Evening on Monday.

This picture shows just how big the tree is. David is 6′ 7” and the tree is taller then him.

Michael’s first time putting an ornament on the tree. He wanted to play with it more then put it on the tree.

The finished product!

Even though Michael can’t crawl, he can still get around. He scoots on his bum really well now, he made his way to the tree and started pulling all the pine needles off of it.

Thanksgiving November 30, 2009

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. 15 people came over, luckily everyone brought something so I was only in charge of the turkey. It turned out really well. Everything was delicious. I am so thankful that I get to live so close to my family. My mom and I are have a very close relationship and I’m very thankful for that. She is the best mom in the world. My Dad is amazing as well! He is always helping us out and is so good with Michael, he is the best father and grandpa anyone could ask for. I am so lucky that most of my sisters live near by. We all get to see each other often. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and son. David does so much for me and is so caring. He is a great father to Michael, they love each other so much!

I forgot to take a picture of the turkey before they cut it, but here is one of them cutting it. This was David’s first time cutting a turkey, he was really nervious, but did a great job.

All of the the food. Yum Yum

Grandma and Grandpa Boggs. They are the best. Grandpa is going in for a pacemaker today, we are all keeping him in our prayers and hope everything goes well.

David and me

Jessica was able to come home from college to celebrate the holiday with us. I really enjoyed having her home, she brought a lot of joy to our house.

These are my three younger sister being themselves.

Playing games. My family is really big on playing games together, especially card games.

All tired out after the big meal.

Just and Update November 23, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — dsreed @ 3:00 pm

Michael has learned how to turn his binki over with just using his tongue. We haven’t gotten in on video yet. We tried, but he just got mad at us.

I don’t think I ever posted Michael’s 8 month monkey picture. He is getting so big, and wasn’t very happy I made him lay on the floor.

We gave Michael some licks of our popsicle. At first he tried to bite it and didn’t like the cold feeling on his teeth. He has learned that it is better to lick/suck on it. He is a very fast learner! Anyway, whenever we are eating a popsicle he always wants some.

I gave Michael a bath in the bathtub for the first time. I forgot to take pictures during it, but this is one afterwards.

I think we have the cutest baby in the entire world. And a plus, he has really happy lately. I love it when he is happy, I can’t help but be happy aswell.

We decided to let Michael try a pospicle. He loves them. This video is his second time eatting one. By the way, the wetness on his shirt isn’t from the popsicle, he likes to spit everywhere and he was doing that before I fed him.
